Disappointed as this was bought to go with a samsung. Eventually got it working with the phono socket but then had a latency issue so the sound was out of sync with the images on screen. Disappointed as this was bought to go with a samsung plasma tv so had expected it to be much more straightforward plug'n'play. First by HDMI from a Freeview+ box via the sound stand to the TV; this worked OK, but every time I switched on the sound stand initially "lost" the HDMI connection and had to be told to find it again; also, only the Freeview+ sound is relayed. I've now fitted an optical cable from the digital optical output on the TV to the sound stand; this works fine, and relays any sound the TV generates or receives; also the sound stand defaults to digital (optical) in, so this doesn't need to be changed. On the TV I did have to enable Dolby Digital output. If your TV has an optical output I'd recommend this approach.
